PRIVACY
Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Cypherwave Technologies Limited (“Cypherwave”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, stores, and shares personal information when you use Cypher Pay, including our web application, client portal, related APIs, and banking or crypto services (together, the “Service”).
By accessing or using Cypher Pay, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Who we are
Cypher Pay is operated by Cypherwave Technologies Limited. We provide multi-rail fintech banking services, including fiat accounts, fund transfers, crypto wallets, crypto–fiat conversion, and payment cards, through our platform and licensed banking and payment partners.
Cypherwave Technologies Limited is the data controller responsible for personal information processed through the Service, except where a banking, custody, or card partner acts as controller under its own arrangements with you.
For privacy-related questions, contact us at bobby@cypher-pay.com.
2. Information we collect
Depending on how you use Cypher Pay, we may collect the following categories of information:
2.1 Account and identity information
- Name, email address, phone number, and login credentials
- Company or business details associated with your account
- Know Your Customer (KYC) / anti-money laundering (AML) documents and verification data required to open or maintain accounts
- Two-factor authentication (2FA) preferences and related verification codes
2.2 Financial and transaction information
- IBAN and other account identifiers linked to your Cypher Pay profile
- Payment and transfer details (amounts, currencies, beneficiaries, references, statuses)
- Balances, fees, and settlement records across supported rails
- Card activity related to issued or topped-up payment cards
2.3 Crypto and wallet information
- Wallet addresses, vault identifiers, and asset balances
- Crypto send/receive activity and conversion requests (crypto ↔ fiat)
- Technical identifiers needed to operate wallet and custody integrations
2.4 Technical and usage information
- IP address, browser type, device information, and approximate location derived from IP
- Session data, authentication events, and security logs
- Cookies and similar technologies used to keep you signed in and protect the Service
3. How we use your information
We use personal information to:
- Create and manage your Cypher Pay account and authenticate access (including email-based 2FA)
- Provide fiat banking features, fund transfers, crypto wallets, conversions, and card services
- Process transactions and communicate status updates or required notices
- Comply with legal, regulatory, KYC/AML, fraud-prevention, and sanctions obligations
- Detect, investigate, and prevent unauthorized access, abuse, or suspicious activity
- Improve platform security, reliability, and customer support
- Respond to support requests and operational inquiries
4. Legal bases for processing
Where applicable data-protection laws require a legal basis, we process your information because:
- Contract: processing is necessary to provide the Service you requested
- Legal obligation: we must meet KYC/AML, record-keeping, and other regulatory duties
- Legitimate interests: securing the platform, preventing fraud, and improving the Service
- Consent: where we expressly ask for consent (for example, optional communications), which you may withdraw at any time
5. Sharing with partners and service providers
Cypher Pay operates through banking, payment, custody, and conversion partners. We share information only as needed to deliver the Service or meet legal obligations. Categories of recipients include:
- Banking and payment rails used for IBAN accounts, SEPA/SWIFT-style transfers, and settlements
- Crypto custody and wallet providers used for vaults, wallets, and digital-asset transfers
- Crypto–fiat conversion partners used to process exchange requests
- Card and acquiring partners used for card issuance, top-ups, and payment processing
- Infrastructure providers such as hosting, email delivery, logging, and security tooling
- Professional advisers and authorities where required by law, regulation, or court order
Our partners process data under their own regulatory obligations and contractual arrangements with us. We do not sell your personal information.
6. International transfers
Because Cypher Pay uses global banking and crypto partners, your information may be processed in countries other than where you live. Where a destination country is not covered by an adequacy decision, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses approved by the relevant authority, together with transfer risk assessments where required. You may request details of the safeguards applying to a specific transfer by emailing bobby@cypher-pay.com.
7. Retention
We retain personal and transaction data for as long as your account remains active and for additional periods required by financial-services, AML, tax, and dispute-resolution rules. Security logs may be kept for shorter operational windows unless needed for investigations.
8. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect your information, including encrypted transport, access controls, session management, and multi-factor authentication. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; you are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for promptly notifying us of suspected unauthorized access.
9. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Request deletion, restriction, or objection to certain processing
- Request portability of data you provided to us
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
- Lodge a complaint with your data-protection supervisory authority
To exercise these rights, email bobby@cypher-pay.com. We may need to verify your identity and may decline requests where legal or regulatory retention duties apply (for example, transaction records required under AML rules).
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, we would like the chance to resolve it first, but you may complain to the data-protection supervisory authority in your country at any time.
10. Automated checks and decision-making
To meet our legal obligations and protect the Service, we and our partners run automated screening on accounts and transactions — including sanctions and watchlist matching, fraud and risk scoring, and transaction monitoring. These checks can automatically delay, block, or flag a payment, or restrict account functionality, before any person reviews it.
Where such a decision produces legal or similarly significant effects for you, you may request human review by contacting bobby@cypher-pay.com, express your point of view, and contest the outcome. We may be legally prohibited from explaining the detail behind a specific sanctions or suspicious-activity decision.
11. Cookies and sessions
Cypher Pay uses essential cookies and session technologies to authenticate users, maintain secure login sessions, and protect against abuse. Disabling essential cookies may prevent the Service from functioning correctly.
12. Children’s privacy
The Service is intended for businesses and authorized adult users. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us so we can take appropriate action.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the latest revision. Where changes materially affect how we use your information, we will give you reasonable advance notice through the Service or by email before they take effect, except where an urgent security, legal, or regulatory need requires immediate change.
